Sathiya kumar Renganayagalu has joined TARG from 1st of November as a PhD research fellow. His PhD topic is Virtual and Augmented reality in maritime training and assessment. The goal of his PhD is to improve the maritime simulator training and assessment with the help of advanced virtual and augmented reality tools and applications. The PhD is part of the InnoTraining research project funded by Research Council Norway together with Kongsberg Digital (KDI).
Sathiya has a master’s degree in product and system design from NTNU, Ålesund. He has been working as a researcher at Institute for energy technology, Halden where his primary focus is on human factors in control room design and evaluation in complex, safety critical domains.
