On June 7th the Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB) delegation to NorShipping in Oslo visited University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), Vestfold campus to inquire about the researches in maritime education and training.The Maharashtra Maritime Board is governmental organization in the state of Maharashtra, India.  The board is tasked with the administration of ports and harbors, conservancy, licensing of crafts, regulation and control of traffic with the vision to be a highly effective, proficient, accountable and progressive maritime agency committed to positioning Maharashtra as the leading state in maritime activity 

The delegation had a  substantial run through of USNs research program within maritime industries , and presentations of research projects took place by USN include Training and Assessment Research Group (TARG), other research groups  and Kongsberg Maritime. There were discussions on common research interests and future collaboration possibilities between MMB and USN. The meeting with MMB was very productive and TARG will be in good contact with MMB how best to follow -up the visit and further Indian- Norwegian collaboration in maritime research and industries.
