On 10^thand 11^thMay, TARG hosted Helga Van Noten, Lecturer and researcher from Antwerp Maritime Academy, Belgium. Antwerp Maritime Academy is the oldest maritime school in Belgium. Helga worked as a Designated Person Ashore (DPO) for many years before she started working as a lecturer at Antwerp MaritimeAcademy. Helga is interested in using new technologies such as virtual and augmented reality in maritime training and visited TARG to see our research facilities and discuss possible future research collaborations. There were many interesting discussions on research needs in maritime training and avenues for future collaboration. Helga is invited as a speaker to the TARG workshop that will be held at USN in September 2018.

TARG and USN look forward for furthercollaboration with Antwerp Maritime Academy in both international and national research projects.
